Foods to Avoid

Fireflies and other bioluminescent insects are acutely toxic to all reptiles and must be avoided absolutely. Processed human foods, pet foods formulated for dogs or cats, and cooked meats of any kind have no place in an Argus Monitor's diet. These items contain seasonings, preservatives, sodium levels, and macronutrient ratios that are fundamentally incompatible with reptilian physiology.
