Water testing supplies are as essential as the conditioning agents themselves because chemical imbalances in the File Snake's water are invisible until the snake begins showing symptoms of distress, at which point significant physiological damage may already have occurred. A comprehensive liquid test kit that measures ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, and alkalinity is the minimum standard.
