They are also lighter, more durable, and often stackable, making them an excellent choice for keepers maintaining multiple animals. The main trade-off is reduced visibility compared to glass, though most PVC enclosures include clear acrylic or glass viewing panels on the front face. For keepers prioritizing function over display aesthetics, PVC is arguably the superior choice.
Plastic storage tubs with ventilation holes represent the most economical housing option and are widely used by breeders and keepers with larger collections.
