Treats & Reward Feeding

Treats serve a legitimate purpose in training and bonding, but they should be chosen and portioned with care. Small pieces of carrot, apple, or commercial low-sugar horse treats are safe options for most Knabstruppers. The key is to keep treat portions modest so they do not meaningfully alter the horse's overall caloric or sugar intake.
