Straw bale walls, solid panel windbreaks, or heavy-duty agricultural tarping positioned on the windward side of outdoor shelters reduce wind chill exposure significantly. Portable windbreaks that can be repositioned as wind direction changes throughout the season offer more flexibility than permanent structures. Combined with deep bedding inside the shelter, a well-placed windbreak can keep Yorkshires comfortable through surprisingly cold conditions.
