Follow hydration with small, easily digestible prey items dusted heavily with calcium supplement. Feed small meals frequently rather than offering large prey items, as the female's digestive capacity may be temporarily reduced from the physical strain of egg production and deposition.

She will likely appear noticeably thinner after laying, which is expected, but she should begin regaining condition within two to three weeks of resumed feeding. If the female refuses food persistently, loses weight continuously despite food being available, or shows signs of illness such as lethargy, abnormal posture, or discharge, seek veterinary attention promptly.
