Start by spending time near the enclosure without reaching inside. Allow the hatchling to become accustomed to your presence, your voice, and the routine of enclosure maintenance. If handling is attempted during the hatchling stage, keep sessions extremely brief — no more than a minute or two — and avoid grabbing or restraining the gecko.
