Raw kidney beans and raw potatoes contain lectins and solanine respectively, both of which are harmful to small mammals. Rhubarb leaves contain oxalic acid at concentrations that can cause renal damage. Iceberg lettuce, while not toxic, has such minimal nutritional value and such high water content that it serves no dietary purpose and may cause digestive upset if consumed in any meaningful quantity.
