A simple foraging ball can be constructed from a small wiffle ball filled with treats and wrapped loosely in strips of fleece fabric, creating a multi-step puzzle that requires the rat to remove the wrapping, manipulate the ball, and shake or roll it to dispense the reward. Platform and hammock systems constructed from fleece fabric and metal hardware create comfortable, engaging vertical furniture that hairless rats use for climbing, resting, and social interaction.
