Weight tracking during the recovery period provides objective confirmation that the female is rebuilding her reserves. Weigh the gecko weekly on a small digital scale and record the measurements. A steady upward trend in weight following the cessation of breeding is the clearest indicator that the recovery protocol is working. If the female's weight plateaus or continues to decline despite enhanced nutrition and cessation of egg production, consult your veterinarian to investigate possible underlying health complications.
