Enclosure and Environment

The hatchling enclosure for a Cooter turtle must prioritize clean, warm water, adequate basking access, and security above all else. Internal parasites are a common concern in wild-caught Cooter hatchlings and those acquired from large-scale breeding operations where hygiene protocols may be inconsistent.
