Every responsible breeder must have a clear plan for placing puppies in appropriate homes and a commitment to take back any dog they produce at any point in its life if the placement fails. Screening prospective owners through applications, interviews, and home assessments helps ensure that puppies go to families that understand the breed's unique needs, including the demanding coat care requirements.
