Classical Swine Fever affects all domestic pig breeds and wild boar of all ages, with no species or breed resistance to infection. Young pigs are generally more susceptible to severe disease, while adult pigs may show milder clinical signs with some strains. Prevention through rigorous biosecurity remains the primary defense for disease-free regions, while endemic countries rely on various combinations of vaccination, surveillance, and movement control.
