Bumblefoot affects virtually all species of domestic poultry, including chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and game birds, though it is most frequently diagnosed in chickens kept in backyard and small farm settings. The condition is also prevalent in commercial operations, particularly those housing heavy meat breeds or birds kept on inappropriate flooring surfaces.
