This vitamin plays critical roles in maintaining healthy muscle function, supporting the immune system, promoting reproductive health, and preserving neurological function. Because vitamin E is fat-soluble, it requires dietary fat for proper absorption and is stored in body tissues, meaning deficiency typically develops gradually over time when intake or absorption is inadequate.
