The smooth coat variety features short, close-lying fur that appears glossy and soft to the touch, with a possible undercoat that provides some protection from temperature extremes. The long coat variety displays a soft, flat or slightly wavy coat with feathering on the ears, legs, feet, and tail, creating an elegant plume effect. Both varieties appear in virtually every color and pattern combination imaginable, from solid colors to marked, splashed, and brindled patterns, making each Chihuahua visually unique. Common colors include fawn, black, white, chocolate, cream, and combinations thereof, with no color or pattern disqualified from the show ring.

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a medium-sized, muscular dog that presents an impression of tremendous strength relative to its compact size. Males stand fourteen to sixteen inches at the shoulder and weigh between twenty-eight and thirty-eight pounds, while females typically weigh between twenty-four and thirty-four pounds. The breed possesses a smooth, close-fitting coat that lies tight against their well-developed musculature, emphasizing their athletic build and powerful physique. Despite their powerful appearance, they move with agility and purpose, demonstrating the balance of strength and nimbleness that characterizes this breed throughout all activities. The head of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is distinctive and serves as a hallmark of the breed, featuring a broad skull with pronounced cheek muscles that give the face its characteristic width and strength. The foreface is short with a distinct stop, and the nose is always black regardless of coat color. Dark round eyes are set wide apart and look straight ahead, conveying an intelligent and alert expression that reflects the breed's attentive nature. The chest is wide and deep, while the legs are straight and well-boned, set rather far apart to accommodate the broad chest and support their muscular frame. Acceptable coat colors include red, fawn, white, black, and blue, either solid or combined with white markings. Brindle and brindle with white are also permitted patterns. Black-and-tan and liver colorations are considered undesirable and may be disqualified in conformation showing. The short coat requires minimal grooming but sheds moderately throughout the year, making them relatively easy to maintain.
