For short-distance vehicle transport, such as a trip to a veterinary appointment or a move between residences within the same metropolitan area, a rigid plastic container with a secure locking lid is the standard choice. Purpose-built reptile transport boxes are available from specialty suppliers, but a sturdy plastic storage bin with ventilation holes drilled through the sides can serve the same function.
