The Green-winged Macaw, known scientifically as Ara chloropterus, is native to the tropical forests of Central and South America. Its natural range stretches from eastern Panama through Colombia, Venezuela, and the Guianas, and southward across Brazil, Paraguay, and northern Argentina.
