Weanlings and young horses in training need careful post-exercise feeding to support growth and training simultaneously. Young horses shouldn't be doing intense work causing significant glycogen depletion, so post-exercise feeding strategy is less critical. Breeding mares not in heavy work don't need special post-exercise feeding. However, a heavily worked mare pre-breeding needs recovery support.
