Many guinea pigs show significant improvement within the first one to two weeks of antibiotic treatment, with reduced nausea, improved appetite, and gradually improving balance. Guinea pigs are remarkably adaptable animals, and even those with a permanent head tilt often learn to compensate and navigate their environment effectively. Many owners report that their guinea pig with a residual tilt eats well, plays, interacts normally with cagemates, and seems perfectly content.
